Jean-François Mouney - Chairman & Chief Executive Officer

Jean-François Mouney holds a Business Degree from the ESCP Business School in Paris and a Masters in Economics. Between 1979 and 1992, he founded and managed several innovative companies in the aeronautics industry.
From 1994 to 2000, Jean François Mouney created and managed one of the first European Bio-incubators, namely
EURASANTE, a public agency for the development of the biology and healthcare sectors in the Nord-Pas-de-Calais region in France. Over 250 companies have been created as part of this venture.
Actively involved from 1997 in the Company’s “incubation”, he is co-founder of
GENFIT, created in 1999. He is Chairman of the Management Board since that date. In 2003, he opened the American subsidiary GENFIT Corp. in Boston and developed the international activity.
He is also Chairman and CEO of
NATURALPHA, a biotechnology company specialized in nutrition founded in 2001.
In 2004, Jean-François Mouney is the main initiator of the Foundation "Heart & Arteries" with the function of Vice-President until 2008. From 2001 to 2007, he was the Vice President of France Biotech and is currently the Vice President of the Research hub “Nutrition, Health and Longevity”. Since 2008, Mr Mouney is Administrator of the Institute of Company Administration (IAE Lille) and Advisor for the Bank of France.
Christophe Ripoll - PhD., Executive Vice-President R&D

Doctor of science from the University Pierre et Marie CURIE (Paris VI), Christophe Ripoll is a specialist in functional foods and nutraceuticals. His main research work at Rutgers University, USA and at Phytomedics was focused on screening and characterization of plant extracts for their anti-inflammatory activity and has helped the development of PMI 005, health ingredient currently in clinical development for its anti-inflammatory and anti-arthritis effects. In an international program funded by the NIH on the recovery of biodiversity in central Asia, he also developed a platform for screening in order to identify drug candidates modulating the expression of genes involved in various inflammatory syndromes.
Moreover, he worked for several years for Vilmorin Clause & co. on plant biotechnology projects.
Dr. Ripoll is currently Executive Vice-President R&D of NATURALPHA. He coordinates research projects and consultancy in health and nutrition and manages the activities of Consulting and Labs departments.
Jean-François Jeanne - Clinical Study Director

After a Degree in Drug Research and Clinical Development, Jean-François Jeanne has dedicated more than 10 years of his professional experience to the clinical trials.
He has successfully managed international phase I, II and III clinical trials in various medical fields for the pharmaceutical industry (cardiovascular and metabolic diseases, oncology, phlebology, medical devices) and also conducted clinical trials in the nutrition field. He has developed a very good knowledge of the entire drug development process through his participation in a scientific team dedicated to the development programs for two compounds in the cardio-metabolic area for a biotechnology company (from preclinical to clinical phases IIb).With a Certificate in Statistics (CESAM) and a Certificate in Operational Management (ESSEC), he joined NATURALPHA in 2002 as Clinical Project Leader. Jean-François Jeanne is now Clinical Sudy Director of NATURALPHA and manages the Clinical Trials Department.
